Course Outline

The e-course is on-demand, which means you can work on it whenever, wherever you feel like it.

Since we know many people prefer some structure in courses, we have created a four-week format you can follow if you'd like. We will send you a reminder message once a week about that week's material.

Keep in mind that you will have immediate access to all course materials when you enroll, so you can work at your own pace -- faster or slower than the four-week schedule.

Week 1: The basic annual report outline, achievements v. activities, goals for your report

Week 2: Creative ways to organize your report (e.g., special themes)

Week 3: How to present the financial information and how to write a strong executive message

Week 4: Extras that will make your report stand out and production and distribution tips

Writing a Nonprofit Annual Report:
The On-Demand E-Course

Annual reports can communicate your accomplishments, help you raise money, attract volunteers, educate influential decisionmakers, and more. But they can also be time-consuming and expensive to produce.

During our e-course, "Writing a Nonprofit Annual Report," you will learn how to create a great annual report that will be worth your time and money. We'll discuss the basic steps in creating an annual report, as well as all of the common sections you'll need to write, from the executive message to the donor acknowledgements. We'll discuss the importance of writing about accomplishments rather than activities and how to present financial information so your readers can understand it. We'll also look at some of the little extras that will make your annual report stand out.
